Handcrafted from an authentic 2004 Iowa State Quarter, this ring celebrates education, community, and the agricultural heritage of The Hawkeye State.

History

Iowa became the 29th state on December 28, 1846.

The quarter's design was inspired by Grant Wood's “Arbor Day” and depicts a one-room schoolhouse with a teacher and students planting a tree. Above the scene appears “Foundation in Education.”

Grant Wood, the Iowa-born artist best known for American Gothic, drew heavily from rural Midwestern life throughout his work.
